Code Club Canada – Micro:bits and Scratch
At Maker Festival 2018, Code Club Canada with Kids Code Jeunesse will demo projects to show kids how to: have fun with Micro:bits using cardboard and tin foil; join the Moonhack challenge; have their code run on the International Space Station with Raspberry Pi’s Astro Pi project; and preview some fun physical coding that will be possible with the upcoming Scratch 3.0 (Beta).
Code Club Canada is a branch of Code Club International, a project of the Raspberry Pi Foundation in the UK. Code Club offers free educational resources for kids to create projects with Scratch, HTML, Python, Micro:bit and Raspberry Pi. In Canada, Kids Code Jeunesse supports a nationwide network of volunteers and educators running free Code Clubs where children build, share and learn together.
