Maker Junior: Maker Junior

Maker Junior teaches kids about technology by making fun projects that combine traditional arts and crafts materials with technical tools and components. Maker Junior is myself, and my two sons, 10 and 13. We do on-site workshops, school maker clubs, classroom visits and special events in Ottawa, Canada and have put kits together so kids can create at home. We have projects that use conductive paint, conductive thread and electric motors. We build things and take things apart. You can follow our progress at http://www.makerjunior.com, http://www.facebook.com/makerjunior, and http://www.twitter.com/maker_junior.

At our table, we will showcase some interactive hands-on projects such as a Makey Makey video game with carrot controllers made by my son, soft-circuit projects, electro-cards and quiz cards, talking stuffies, etc. We bring a wide variety of projects that kids have made to inspire creativity and encourage hands on participation.
