This event is part indulgence of one of my greatest pleasures, part social justice project. Inspired by a presentation given by Katie Jung at the recent Trans Temporality Conference, as my own love of reading aloud and being read to, the goals of the Read-Aloud Book Club will be to meet once per month and read previously unrecorded literature aloud and record it, resulting in the creation of community-generated audiobooks. You don’t need to bring anything except yourselves. You’re welcome to come just to listen, or to read aloud.
