Autodesk Digital Fabrication – Design Cool Toys by Yourself

The consumer 3D printers and personal computers opened up huge potential for creative makers to fabricate a highly customized objects. Every day, we are developing new computational design technologies to support their creation. We will demonstrate our state-of-the-art interactive design tool that allows masses to design original yet physically functional objects. Specifically, we will exhibit interactive design systems for designing toys such as hand-launching airplanes that actually fly, free-formed 3D printed wind-musical instruments, electrical circuits on 3D prints, and 3D prints that melt into specific target shapes. Through these projects, we would like to show participants how interactive design and real-time physics simulation help the creation.

We will be showing our design software and examples of fabricated objects. Participants can try this software and design a free-form paper airplane.
